These apis such as Cloud is the infrastructure , AWS is a Cloud provider Cloud front and Joyent are other recommended players in the cloud arena. TrustCommerce, Paypal help in collecting payment. Google maps helps you in displaying maps withing your application. Facebook and Twitter let the crowd take over and give you much needed traffic to enhance your PR and bring in footfalls for business. Feel the power! The above are just some examples. On Programmable web the phis past week 7  ( at the time of writing ) new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 21 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Google Street View Image, Google URL Shortener, PagerDuty, Producteev, UserVoice and Yipit. The most often used APIs this week are Google Geocoding, Google Maps and YouTube. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Mapping (5 APIs, 7 mashups), Photos (2 APIs, 2 mashups) and Shopping (2 APIs, 2 mashups).
